Clinical Expertise and Therapeutic Methods in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Nursing (10cr)

Objective

The student is able to
- maintain and develop a customer relationship based on partnership while strengthening the resources and inclusion of the individual and the family
- apply and develop competence in therapeutic methods in his or her chosen area of expertise based on nursing recommendations and evidence based practice
- use and develop in a client-oriented manner the main guidance methods that are based on solutions and resources
- justify the effectiveness and influence of various nursing and guidance methods as a part of care
- promote the reform of nursing practices and structures by participating in the development networks and strengthening shared expertise
- implement medication treatment in mental health and substance abuse nursing in a safe and responsible way
- analyse the special features of medication treatment as part of the care of a mental health or substance abuse patient, and implement medication treatment safely according to good practices
- develop his or her expertise and work community in mental health and substance abuse nursing
