Tavoitteet

The student is able to
- practice in a patient representative manner in critical care nursing
- define “a status” of critically ill patient and perform nursing by 1) recognizing the changes and needs, 2) planning and performing interventions and 3) assessing the outcomes
- provide nursingcare interventions as a member in multiprofessional team
- provide patient safety
- support the integrity of critically ill patients and their families when encountering the patients and their families
- implement evidence based nursing interventions, protocols and procedures, programs and theories of caring critically ill patients
- document the given care in different care environments to facilitate the continuity of the care of critically ill patient
