Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- implement the principles and duties laid down in child welfare legislation in their work with children, who live at home or are in the care of social services
- recognise and assess the need for child welfare services
- discern and interpret the child's and the family's need for help at an early stage
- analyse the importance of early stage interaction and attachment in a child's life
- use network-like and resource-centred work methods

Alternative completion methods of implementation

Kontaktiopetuksessa läsnäolovelvollisuus on opintojakson aloituskerralla ja kahdella case-tehtävien esittelykerralla (viimeiset 2 kontaktikertaa).
Muun kontaktiopetuksen voi halutessaan korvata tehtävillä ja tästä sovitaan erikseen opintojakson vastuuopettajan kanssa.

Please note that the content of study unit T0OOBU62 Child Welfare has partly similar content. Thus, completing both study units is not recommended. In case you choose both study units, the credits may be modified to reflect only new competences gained.
