Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- describe the structures and phenomena of the national economy
- describe the factors that contribute to profitable business and the basic concepts of financial management
- interpret and use financial information for decision making
- describe opportunities, actors and networks in the business environment considering sustainable development*
- describe the significance of the competitive situation for the company’s success
- describe key business processes

*The addition 'considering sustainable development' comes into effect on August 1, 2024. The verb has also been changes to 'describe' (earlier verb was recognise).

Further information for students

Seuraava ohje koskee Digitaalisten palvelujen kehittämisen koulutuksen opiskelijoita, joilla opintojakson suorittaminen on viivästynyt: opintojakson tilalle on vuodesta 2025 alkaen tullut opintojakso ND00CC00 Liiketoimintaympäristöt 5 op. Eriävästä laajuudesta johtuen sovitaan lisäksi erikseen, millä liiketalouden perussisällöllä voi korvata puuttumaan jäävät 5 op tai suoritetaan uuden OPS-rakenteen mukaisesti enemmän pakollisia IT-opintoja.
