Objective

The student is able to:
- develop writing skills in general and academic contexts, including essays, summaries and reports
- write more accurately and with an awareness of the correct style and layout
- avoid plagiarism by paraphrasing and using sources in the appropriate manner
- diagnose and remedy personal weaknesses in writing ability
- deliver effective presentations and speeches in academic and general situations
- interact smoothly and take an active part in discussions and conversations
- understand the significance of nonverbal communication
- speak with improved pronunciation and a richer vocabulary
- communicate in English at the B2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass: The student performs on the required proficiency level both orally and in writing.
