Placement can be completed by recognition of prior learning, at a workplace (paid employee), or as an unpaid internship.
Please see your the Canvas workspace for "YY00CC95-3004 Building One’s Competence Identity", which has its own module dedicated to the Placement process.
Location and time
Placement 1 can be completed at any time. It must be completed before entering Placement 2.
Apart from recognition of prior learning, it is recommended to complete Placement 1 after the first year of your studies (summer 2026 or later)

Placement 1 is completed at a real-life workplace.
Exam schedules
Placement 1 has no contact lessons or joint sessions. However, Placements are discussed during "YY00CC95-3004 Building One’s Competence Identity", in your personal study planning discussions (PSP discussions)
International connections
An international placement is possible, you may also be eligible for international grant. Please read more in Student intra, Internationality-section.
Student workload
Total workload of Placement 1 is 15 credits, which translates to 400 hours of work.
In a full-time position (e.g. 5 workdays a week) this translates to 10 weeks of work.
In a part-time position, work shift logs or other accounting is used to amass a total of 400 hours of work.
